i am now officially a dirty hippie, with a head full of beautiful dreads. i would like to thank :Eponine-: for singlehandidly destroying my hair. she altruistically donated 3 hours of valuable sleeping time to do so, and they look sweet. long may you live, claire.

am back from the land of the russki's (russia), but i don't really know quite how to answer the question "how was your trip??" yet. i mean, i could say it was good, but what is good about a land where 80% of men are alcoholics? the fastest growing rate of the AIDS virus in the world? it wasn't a vacation, and that wasn't why i went, so forgive me if i don't know how to respond.

had a good couple of days since i've been back.
hung out with everyone that i missed dearly while i was away, and it was wonderyful. claire dreaded my hair, as i already mentioned, and i also saw rachel and matt and anna and a little of holli.

spent all of today with matt, we went to devil's lake and hiked for the better part of the day. it was beautiful. i hadn't been there in years, and it made me want to start climbing again.

still must go camping.
